Conversations on the Stairs

During my childhood and adolescence in India, I lived in various houses—each with its own unique charm. Yet, some of my fondest memories weren’t made in grand rooms, but in the most unexpected places—like the steps of the patio, the staircase, or while sitting on the kitchen countertop.

These little corners became my havens for reading, studying, or sharing laughter with siblings and friends. Many cherished moments were spent in heartfelt conversations with my mom, where time seemed to stand still.
